Sisters Aloha:
What wonderful news we have received this past month regarding the reopening of our temple. As we anxiously await the temple reopening, let’s prepare ourselves so that we can be ready. No longer will we have to check flight schedules or the bank account to see if we can go to the house of the Lord. We will simply have to take a two minute drive or walk a quarter of a mile. The temple is within our reach. We need to prepare ourselves, set our schedules and rededicate ourselves to better temple attendance. What better way to show the Lord we love him than to serve often in his house. Temple Attendance can bring us strength and peace of mind. As we participate in temple worship, we become closer to our Heavenly Father as the veil becomes thinner. As we prepare, may we make a better effort to do our scripture reading, say our daily prayers and to live the teachings of the gospel to its fullest. May our preparation bring us closer to the Lord and allow the spirit to dwell with us. We will see our lives become more meaningful as we attend the temple frequently and with purpose.
May we seek the Lord daily in all we do and say. Sisters, there may be some of us who are struggling with our circumstances but if we put the Lord first, even though it may mean we will have to make sacrifices, he will truly bless us. We love you all and pray for you each day. May we always be looking out for ways to serve and help our neighbors, even in a small way. May the Lord bless you and your families.
